Doral is a prescription medication for people with insomnia. Doral helps patients fall asleep quickly and stay asleep throughout the night. Side effects from using Doral There have been few reports of any serious side effects with Doral. Possible serious side effects associated with sedative hypnotic products such as Doral include abnormal thoughts and behavior, memory loss and anxiety.
Important Safety Information:
Doral is a prescription medication indicated for the treatment of insomnia. Doral is a benzodiazepine. It works by depressing the central nervous system, causing drowsiness to aid in falling asleep. Do not take Doral if you are allergic to Doral or other benzodiazepine products or know or suspect that you have sleep apnea. The most common side effects of Doral are daytime drowsiness and headache. Other side effects that may occur when using Doral include fatigue, dizziness, dry mouth and upset stomach. Do not drive your car, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to Doral. In some cases, Doral’s sedative effect may last for several days after the last dose. Avoid drinking alcohol or taking other medicines that cause drowsiness (e.g., sedatives, tranquilizers) while taking Doral. Sleepwalking, as well as eating or driving while not fully awake, with amnesia for the event, and rare cases of severe allergic reactions have been reported. If you experience any of these events, contact your healthcare provider or physician immediately.
